The Daniel P. Geiger Scholarship Committee is continuing to accept resume-type applications from interested Veterans’ children pursuing "post” high school education. Deadline is April 1, 2024

of each year. Applicants must be residents of Pennsylvania and should submit a personal resume that includes High School transcript, letters of recommendation, any certificates of appreciation or commendation they have received and a copy of a letter of acceptance to college or other higher levels of education. Items especially helpful for the committee include letters from High School Principals, Guidance Counselors, Teachers, Church Pastors, Civic Leaders and local VFW Post. (Letter of Endorsement from the VFW Post Commander is a necessity.) A letter from the applicant; why they financially should be chosen to be given the Scholarship. (This letter is a necessity) A requirement is that financial need and/or family hardship are demonstrated, and that the applicant must be a child of a Pennsylvania Veteran, who is living OR deceased. It is necessary for applicants to include all of the above.

The amount of the scholarship to be awarded is $1,000.00. All applications with enclosures and all inquiries should be mailed to:
